CrewLounge becomes part of AvioBook, a Thales Group Company
The market leader in EFB services for airlines, AvioBook, reinforces its portfolio by integrating CrewLounge AERO. The joint impact of the two complementary communities will create new synergies, improving the digitalised experience across aviation.

CrewLounge AERO is proud to share that it has become a part of AvioBook, a Thales Group Company. In addition to increasing the pilot community and global footprint, the joint expertise and capabilities of the two teams will facilitate the development of new features and products for all users whether they be airlines in the AvioBook community or private users in the CrewLounge community.

After over fifteen years, working to provide the most intuitive and practical digital solutions to the issues facing flight crews, CrewLounge is excited for the next chapter in its development alongside AvioBook.

AvioBook develops a suite of connected & secure applications, both on the flight deck as well as in the network operations centre, that are fully integrated with the aeroplane. The core of this suite, AvioBook Flight is currently used by over 64 customers, handling 51,000 flights a week and 4,000 tails around the world. Click here to discover more about the AvioBook suite.

Just like CrewLounge, AvioBook is a Belgian based tech company, headquartered in Hasselt. AvioBook has a global footprint with teams around the world providing excellent customer service. Together these two complementary suites of products, for both airlines and pilots as individual users will create a complete digital & smart service.

In the immediate future, the combination of these two platforms will not lead to changes to either company’s operations or portfolios. The current product and service roadmaps will be maintained to ensure the smoothest and on time development possible. As the synergies develop, the pooling of resources will enable the development of a greater range of features and products that benefit both B2B and B2C communities. AvioBook and CrewLounge will continue to provide the best end-user experience. Founder Captain Pat Boone remains on the project as consultant.

Frédéric DRU, AvioBook CEO:

“Incorporating CrewLounge into the AvioBook product portfolio represents a genuine opportunity for both teams to pool their expertise and create powerful features that benefit the complementary communities of users, both airlines and pilots.”

Pat BOONE, CrewLounge Founder:

“As an airline captain, I’ve always been looking for ways to facilitate the work lives of my colleagues. Today, more than 90,000 pilots and flight attendants around the world rely on CrewLounge AERO. Joining forces with AvioBook will enable CrewLounge to continue its growth and reach its full potential. I look forward to seeing our incredible teams work together and expand our aviation platform with even more powerful apps.”
